Invisalign

Invisalign is a revolutionary system that gradually and gently moves your teeth into alignment using a series of aligners in a discreet and comfortable way. This custom made appliance is manufactured in a clear medical grade material which means they are almost invisible when worn.

They are a modern alternative to a conventional brace with the added benefit of being removable, allowing them to be taken out for a couple of hours a day to attend important events such as a business appointment or special social occasions.

Plus of lnvisalign:

  • The aligner can be removed for eating, drinking and cleaning
  • It is almost invisible

Minus of Invisalign:

  • lnvisalign will only work if you are wearing it for the amount of time prescribed by your orthodontist. A minimum of 20-22 hours-a-day wear is required to enable this appliance to work effectively
  • Some more complex cases will be better suited to a fixed brace

Unlike traditional fixed braces, Invisalign clear aligners are removable and nearly invisible.

Treatment for Invisalign starts from about £3000 and we offer a range of payment plans to make the process manageable for you.

Scanning for Invisalign

Scanning for Invisalign

During Invisalign treatment, we take 3-D digital impressions by scanning your mouth, eliminating the need to pack paste in your mouth to take impressions. It’s quicker, cleaner, and it’s far more accurate than traditional impressions. If you are considering Invisalign to straighten your teeth, our scanner will make the process more accurate and pleasant.

4 Steps to Your New Smile

  • step-1

    Step 1

One of our Treatment Coordinators will spend time with you finding out what concerns you about your teeth and how you would like to improve them. We will take a 3D digital scan and x-rays as needed for Mark Northwood to be able to guide you through possible treatment approaches.

If you feel Invisalign is your treatment of choice, we will send for a ‘Clincheck’ to Align Technology® Technicians.

  • step-2

    Step 2

Once Align Technology® has used their cutting edge computing technology to produce a detailed prediction of your treatment, we will email you a 3D simulation video and arrange a review appointment with Mark Northwood. He will explain and clarify the treatment proposal and answer any further questions. If you decide to go ahead with Invisalign, we will then request that your alingers are manufactured.

  • step-3

    Step 3

We will arrange an appointment to fit your aligners. These need to be worn for 20 – 22 hours per day and changed every 1 – 2 weeks. Usually there will be small transparent resin attachments placed on a number of the teeth to help the aligners grip your teeth. Oral hygiene is easy with Invisalign as they are simply removed for cleaning.

  • step-4

    Step 4

We will arrange review appointment with you every 4 – 8 weeks where will monitor progress of your treatment and give you further aligners as needed. At the end of treatment, you will need to wear retainers. There are a number of designs and we will discuss which will be most appropriate for your individual circumstances.
